Tonight is the night that I can’t sleep. I really don’t know why. Maybe it’s because I was watching the Matrix. But there must be some explanation why I choose not to go to bed and do as I plan the day before yesterday.

One explanation is that I am concerned with the situation in my country. The situation is getting worse and worse. It’s been two days now since PAD takes control of the Don Mueng and Suwannabhum airports and this inevitably affects our country at least the perception the world has on Thailand right now. People start killing each other who is on the different side. We don’t know what will be the government decision on this matter. The military too we don’t know. One side we know is that นปก. which will definitely cause the riot if the military intervene by the coup.

I don’t know how and why, but somehow, my hunch said PAD might lose this fight…. Continue reading →

เมื่อสักพักใหญ่มาแล้วหลังเหตุการณ์ 7 ตุลาคม ผมเคยเขียนข้อความลงใน Blog ของผม ระบุว่า ผมว่านายกฯควรลาออก (แต่ว่ามันอยู่ที่อื่นไม่ใช่ใน blogspot) หลังจากนั้นเพื่อนผมจากเพชรบูรณ์ที่ไม่ได้เจอกันมานานแสนนานผ่านเข้ามาเจ อบล๊อกผมและถามว่า ทำไมนายกฯ ถึงควรลาออก หรือยุบสภาฯ ก็ตาม ทั้งๆที่นายกฯมาจากการเลือกตั้ง ผมสัญญากับเค้าว่าจะส่งเมล์ไปอธิบายว่าทำไมผมถึงเห็นอย่างงั้น แต่ยังไม่ได้ส่งเมลไปซักที

วันนี้ถือเป็นวันดีที่จะเขียนตอบเพื่อน คนน้ันๆ เนื่องจากวันนี้เป็นอีกครั้งหนึ่งที่มีคนขอให้รัฐบาลยุบสภา พล.อ. อนุพงษ์ เผ่าจินดา ผู้บัญชาการทหารบก ในฐานะประธานคณะกรรมการติดตามสถานการณ์ร่วม ได้แถลงว่าที่ประชุมคณะกรรมการได้เสนอให้รัฐบาลยุบสภา และ พันธมิตรยุติการชุมนุม เพื่อแก้ไขสถานการณ์ของประเทศ

ตอนแรกผมก็ไม่ ค่อยเห็นด้วยกับการเสนอให้รัฐบาลลาออกหรือยุบสภาในตอนแรกเท่าไหร่ เพราะมันดูไม่ค่อยมีเหตุผลเท่าใดนัก แต่ว่าหลังจากเหตุการณ์ 7 ตุลาคม 2551 ที่เจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจปราบปรามการชุมนุมผิดกระบวนการสลายการชุมนุมสากล ผมคิดว่า นายกรัฐมนตรีควรจะลาออก และเปลี่ยนคณะรัฐมนตรีด้วย แต่ไม่ต้องยุบสภา

ในกรณีนี้ ความแตกต่างของการลาออกกับยุบสภาก็คือ หากนายกฯ ลาออก มีเพียงแค่คณะรัฐมนตรีที่จะจะต้องแต่งตั้งใหม่ แต่ไม่ต้องมีการเลือกตั้งใหม่ ในขณะที่การยุบสภาคือ การยุติสถานะการเป็นสมาชิกสภาผู้แทนราษฎร​ (ส.ส.) และนำไปสู่การเลือกตั้งทั่วไปครั้งใหม่

หากว่ากันตามจริง ผมเห็นว่า จากเหตุการณ์ 7 ตุลาฯ รัฐบาลในฐานะคนที่กำกับดูแลการดำเนินงานของเจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจนั้นควรลาออก ซึ่งในทางหนึ่ง พล.อ.เชาวลิต ยงใจยุทธก็ได้ลาออกจากตำแหน่ง รองนายกรัฐมนตรีแล้ว เนื่องจากไม่สามารถควบคุมสถานการณ์ได้ แต่ถามว่า นายกฯ ควรจะลาออกด้วยหรือไม่ ?

Today 25th of November, political situation in Thailand is getting worse since the PAD is taking control any place that the government and prime minister would go. Along the way the opposition of the PAD, the Red T-Shirt group (นปก.), ambushed and attacked the cars and buses that taking people to places. The violence happened there.

There is now widely distributed VDO clip of a group of yellow shirt people, assuming of being PAD, firing gun at, beating and burning cars and motorcycles of the red shirt people. The following is the link to the clip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNhLI3LDgzQ . From this clip, people start to doubt whether PAD is really holding to the non-violence principle. People who don’t like PAD are having reason to hate them more concretely. Those who are on the middle ground start to reject PAD’s way, but of course, they won’t joining the red shirt campaign, I think.

From here in the Netherlands, I can feel the hatred of people by reading messages on the internet, in the webboard, on msn names, etc. One of the reason is because of the violent initiated by PAD members, such as in the clip above. Continue reading →

Tomorrow, 24th of November 2008, People Alliance for Democracy (PAD) would move its demonstration to the parliament to stop the revision of the 2007 constitutions by People’s Power Party (PPP)-led coalition government. The leaders of PAD said this would be the last biggest move of them.PAD from everywhere is coming to the government house, which has been captured by PAD and made as a demonstration ground for about three months. If they don’t succeed, they will stop the demonstration and give the country to the tyranny government.

I’m not sure what they mean by succeed… If they aim too high, surely the PAD will end tomorrow.

The government, although they know that PAD demonstrates because of the constitutions revision, will still continue revising the 190 article, which benefits ex-Thai Rak Thai politicians who were politically banned for 5 years. Removing 190 article in the constitutions would invalidate the punishment from the verdict of Assets Scrutiny Committee (ASC) impose on those politicians. This issue is constroversial because one could say that ASC was establised by the junta and should not be valid after the new constitution is enforced, whereas, another could say that that is not the point, the point is that they actually did something wrong and they should be punished.
